I recently picked up "Making Comics" and have been reading it on my commute. It's the latest from Scott McCloud who also wrote the seminal "Understanding Comics". I love it so much I am bringing it to my guild meeting tomorrow night. I know not everyone in the group is into the graphic format, but I think much of his wisdom applies to all writers, and many of us keep falling into common storytelling traps - especially not putting to page all the details of a story that we see or hear or feel inside our head, or the reverse, putting so much detail on the page that the reader gets angry and frustrated. Anyway, I highly recommend it to the few writers who occasionally read my blog.
