I had an interesting adventure today (my today, your yesterday), trying to help my friend Skitz get to Chicago. That didn't work out, but in the process he treated me to a fantastic Korean BBQ dinner. We went to a fancy place (well, maybe not so fancy since it's open 24 hours and has disposable chopsticks), where the tables have grills built in and you cook your own meat. They also bring out a very wide array of vegetable sidedishes, the only one of which I could identify was kim chee, but all were excellent (especially the mushroom thing). It was served family style, which is common in Hawaii, but I am still getting used to it so I'm glad Skitz ordered.
So, after all that and a brief trip to the grocery store, I came home to a power outage. It was just in my development, but it was interesting how quiet everything was. I stood outside in the dark, and looked up to see the Milky Way - one of the most awe inspiring sights IMHO. All things considered, it was a beautiful evening.
